Set Up
The energy floor, constructed using recycled and durable materials like glass, steel, and aluminum, was strategically installed on the walkway leading to the cafeteria. This high-traffic location ensures maximum footfall, with approximately 400 daily visitors contributing around 1,200 steps.
The floor uses electromechanical conversion technology: pressure from each step powers a small gear and dynamo, converting kinetic motion into electricity. The generated energy is reintegrated into the building’s system to enhance energy efficiency.
