The Gamer is an interactive outdoor playset for primary school children. The solar powered, smart tiles integrated in the school yard pavement come with 10 educational games for 4-12 year olds.
The combination of solar power, properly designed materials and chosen production processes makes the GAMER a zero-carbon emission product over its lifespan.
In short, with The Gamer you will add a unique, durable, interactive and educational playset to your outdoor space.

National Education Programme Funding
With the scarcity of teachers across the country, a simple solution is to let children learn through play in the school playgrounds. Our proposition is evidence-based: active learning has clear benefits, specifically for the cognitive and motor skills of primary school children. With The Gamer we want to make active learning as fun and interactive as possible. An additional advantage is that The Gamer is expected to last at least 10 years, so the NPO funds are not only used in the short term, but form a long-term solution.
MULTIPLICATION TRAINER [GAME 3]
Children can practise their multiplication tables outside of the classroom on The Gamer. The floor will display a calculation from tables 1, 2, 5 and 10.
Three possible answers are displayed on the second row and the kids need to jump or hop onto the correct answer. Be quick! There is a timer counting down too! This is a great game to take turns or play in groups.
Once they have mastered the equations, they can select Game 4 to play Multiplication Trainer (advanced) which helps to train their 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9 tables.
Outdoors and indoors
Every GAMER comes with its own Dashboard, to visualise the sun generated energy data. In addition to the solar power stats, the Dashboard keeps track of the games play and scores.
Back to the classroom after the play break outside, the Dashboard can be the starting point of a talk about sustainable energy. “How many tablets can you charge with the solar energy produced today by our Gamer?”
It is our way to try and raise awareness about the climate change in fun and exciting ways.
What you see in the embedded Live Dashboard on the right is for every game a top 3-location of today scores. This is real time data and covers all real GAMER locations in the Netherlands, Malta and Germany.
Nice to know. There are up to 10 winners every week. The dark blue score underneath nominates the school yard with the highest score for that game last week. This is an exciting and fun competition, with fair chances to win, weekly. The more you play, the higher the score. So, let the children crush that high score!
How our technology works
The Gamer consists of 9 walkable solar tiles. All tiles are equipped with sensored LED lights which challenges children to get on it!
The 9 solar tiles generate together up to 315Wp in total. This energy is sent back into the grid.
The sensors on every Gamer make the floor a powerful touchpad with endless interaction possibilities.
The interactive LED Lighting can be programmed any way we want to. We are even developing a program where kids can program the LEDS themselves.
Power production and play usage data is captured via cloud connection. Data visualisation on responsive dashboards included.
