Overview

As part of its “Unsere Energie bewegt was” campaign, EnBW partnered with Energy Floors to create a travelling kinetic activation across seven events in Baden-Württemberg.

Visitors stepped and jumped on the floor to generate electrical energy. In a two-team “Bewegungsbattle,” a live dashboard displayed each team’s energy in joules, power in watts and the corresponding donation value. EnBW connected the participation to support for the Kinderschutzbund Baden-Württemberg.

From Idea to Activation

Making energy something people can experience

The idea began when EnBW’s Finn Eigel experienced kinetic flooring at a Coldplay concert and recognised its connection with EnBW’s campaign. Instead of simply communicating a message about energy and movement, visitors could physically become part of it.

Together, EnBW and Energy Floors developed the concept into a portable activation suitable for sporting, family and cultural events. The result made an invisible subject tangible: people moved, generated energy and immediately saw what they had achieved.

The Energy Battle

Move. Generate energy. Compete. Do good.

Energy Floors divided the kinetic surface into two sides:

Team 1 versus Team 2.

Every step and jump was converted into electricity while the EnBW dashboard visualised the competition in real time.

Joules showed the energy generated, watts showed live power and the donation value connected the activity directly to social impact. EnBW summarised the mechanic in one line:

Seven Events. One Energy Story.

EnBW took the activation to seven events across Baden-Württemberg: VfB Stuttgart Sustainability Matchday, Landesturnfest in Konstanz, SWR3 ESC Party in Karlsruhe, Landeskinderturnfest in Heilbronn, KAMUNA  Karlsruhe Museums Night, KSC Family Day in Karlsruhe and VfB Opening in Stuttgart.

Across very different audiences, the interaction stayed simple: step onto the floor, challenge another team, watch the energy build and contribute to a good cause.

The Impact

Movement that really moved something

At the Landesturnfest 2026 in Konstanz, visitors generated approximately 257,900 joules over four days, contributing to around €12,500 for the Kinderschutzbund Baden-Württemberg.

At the Landeskinderturnfest in Heilbronn, the activation generated approximately another €2,700. By the end of the seven-event campaign, EnBW reported a total contribution of €23,000.

From Brand Message to Brand Experience

The strength of the activation was the direct connection between EnBW’s message and what visitors actually did. Movement generated energy. The Energy Battle generated participation. Participation generated a donation. Instead of being spectators, visitors became the energy source — making an abstract subject physical, understandable and memorable.

Energy That Really Moves Something

Across seven events, individual movements were transformed into renewable energy, audience engagement and ultimately €23,000 of support for the Kinderschutzbund Baden-Württemberg.
One step generates only a little energy. Bring thousands of steps together and connect them to the right idea and movement can create something much bigger.

That is the power of participation.
