The International Registered Exhibitions is a bi-annual coming together of nations and organisations to discuss some of the world’s most pressing issues.
In 2017, the fair was held in Astana, Kazakstan on the specialised theme ‘Future Energy’. It addressed the question “How do we ensure safe and sustainable access to energy for all while reducing CO2 emissions?”. The Expo took place over three months and was attended by over 4,000,000 visitors.
Energy Floors was invited by our client, the UN Environment Office for Europe, to engage the public in a new way of energy generation.
We installed the Sustainable Dance Floor with a digital battery meter to track the number of watts produced. It also educated visitors about renewable energy and made energy production visible. Once the battery was charged to 100% a photo was taken.
